The Knox County YMCA is a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization
whose mission is to utilize Christian principles to instill character
development. We believe in the four core values of Caring, Honesty,
Respect, Responsibility and practice these values in our daily lives.
As part of our mission, no person is denied
participation or services of the YMCA thanks to our generous donors.
Each year, the YMCA conducts a sustaining fundraising campaign (Strong
Kids Campaign) in order to ensure that every person wishing to participate
at the YMCA has opportunity to do so. Annually, the YMCA forgives
approximately $50,000 in membership and program dollars which must
be generated through private donors such as yourself.
